1987. 11. 29. 대한항공858기 폭파 직후 북한공작원 2명이 잡히고 김현희가 북한 김정일이 “남조선여객기를 제끼라”고 지령한대로 폭파하였다고 자백하고 참회를 한지 16년이 지나도록, 그리고 확실한 증거들이 계속 확인되고 있는데도, 북한 지도부는 “남조선군사깡패정권의 자작극”이라고 선전하여 왔습니다. 2003. 11. 당시는 노무현 정권 주위 일부와 방송관계자들 일부가 국민이나 세상이 김현희가 북한공작원인지 의혹이 있다고 생각하기를 바라던 때였습니다.
2003. 11. 3. 에 이른바 천주교정의구현전국사제단(이 단체는 그 자체가 교회법전 제300조,제312조를 계속하여 위반하고 있는 교회 내 불법조직임) 사제들은 기자회견을 열어, “대한항공858기 사건은 억울하게 고귀한 생명을 앗아간 사건”이며, “고귀한 생명이 정치적 음모로 희생되는 일이 다시는 없도록 예언자적 사명을 실천코자 한다.” “가짜 북한공작원 김현희를 조작해 낸 당시의 대통령, 안기부 책임자를 철저히 조사하라.” “안기부 등이 위기에 처한 독재정권의 유지를 위해 만들어 낸...각종의 암살과 테러, 조작사건과 완전히 그 맥락을 같이 하고 있다.”는 성명서 발표를 하였습니다.
거짓 선동으로 테러집단에 동조하는 이적행위를 한 것이며 동시에 교회법상 국민의 정의로운 평화 화목을 해친 것(교회법전제287조제1항)이며, 죽을죄를 지었지만 북한지배자에 의해 어린 나이부터 인간도구로 교육받아 온 자기의 과거를 속죄하는 길을 가는 한 젊은 여인의 진실한 증언을 짓밟아 사람들로 하여금 못 믿게 하려는 거짓 조작에 나선 것이며 동시에 교회법상 사람의 평판과 사생활을 해친 것(교회법전제220조,제1390조제2항제3항)입니다.
교회의 역사상, 사제의 신분에서는 찾아보기 드문 악행입니다.

급기야 이들은 동아일보 사설로부터 “거짓을 저지른 정의구현사제단 사제들은 김현희에게 무릎 꿇고 용서를 청하라”는 권고를 공개적으로 듣기에 이르렀습니다.
그래도 잊혀지기를 바라고 버틸 것인가요? 이러한 독선과 거짓은 가톨릭교회 정신인 겸손과 진실에 반합니다.
이들은 세속화하지 않기로 서약한 사제이기 때문에 비로소 존경 받는 신분입니다. 그런데 이적행위와 거짓 조작을 하고도 시치미 떼는 수준으로 세속화하였고 타락하였습니다.
이 사제 162명 가운데 2003년 11월 3일 당시 사제서품 받은 지 2년 이내인 새 사제로 확인된 분만 42명입니다. 갓 서품 받은 사제를 이런 악행으로 끌어들이는 주동사제가 도대체 누구입니까? 아니면 신학교에서 이미 그렇게 교육받고 나왔습니까?
혹시, 이 성명서의 명의자 사제가 명의를 도용 당하였거나, 그 내용을 속아서 구두승낙을 하였을 수 있습니다. 이런 경우에도 “명의도용”이나 “속았음”을 적어도 교중미사에서라도 공표했어야 합니다. 주보는 그런 용도에 가장 요긴하게 사용되어야 합니다. 사제명의가 8년 10개월간 악행에 도용 당하였으면, 신자들에 대한 사목을 위하여 즉시 시정할 의무가 있기 때문입니다. 그러나 162명 중에 그런 조치를 한 사람이 있었다고 알려진 것이 없습니다. 사제의 신분을 걸고, 성경구절까지 거룩하게 내세운, 악행이 세상에 알려졌는데, 이를 방치해도 괜찮을 정도로 사제의 직무가 우스운 자리가 아닙니다.
정진석 추기경께서 이런 일부 사제들의 계속되는 탈선을 걱정하여 정당한 조치를 하고, 타당한 말씀을 해 온 것으로 알고 있습니다.
2010. 12. 10. 이 정구사 사제들은 장상의 교회법상의 교도권에 순종치 않음은 물론, 정추기경님의 4대강사업에 관한 반듯한 논급까지 “궤변”이라고 성명서를 내고, 동년 12. 13.에는 기자회견을 열어 “정 추기경님의 퇴진을 요구”하여 교회법도를 뒤집는 하극상을 범(교회법전 제273조,제1373조,제1390조 위반)하였습니다. 2011. 1. 31.부터 8. 19.까지 사이에 교회를 아끼는 교우분들 9,325명이 이들을 교회법정에 세우는 청원을 하였습니다. 그 청원서 한 장 한 장이 모두 로마에 가 있습니다. 교회의 재판은 일반 법원 재판의 경우와는 달리 생각해야 할 점이 있어서 도중의 진행사항 공표를 삼가고 있습니다. 수임자들은 결과와 함께 알려드리려 하고 있습니다.
이들은 자기들의 홈페이지에 2010. 12. 10.에 저지른 ‘추기경의 궤변’이라는 성명서와 그 영어번역본을 오늘까지 1년 8개월 이상 게재하여 범법행위를 계속하고 있습니다.
이적행위와 거짓 역사조작을 감행한 단체로서, 교회법을 무시 거역하여 존속하고 있는 정구사를 자진해체하고, 교회와 대한민국과 정직한 사람에게 사과하고 지난 동안의 세속타락을 뉘우치는 것이, 사제서품 때의 당초서약(교회법전제276조,제285조1항2항)으로 돌아가는 유일한 길입니다.
교우 여러분들이 해당 사제를 만나면 사과를 요청하십시오.
그리고 훨씬 더 많은 훌륭한 사제들을 모범으로 삼기를 요청하십시오.

The faithful should urge priests of the Priests’ Association for Justice who falsified the truth to apologize
- Unless they apologize to Church, Republic of Korea and Ms. Kim Hyun-hee for their acts of benefitting the enemy and fabrication of false history, we, the faithful, will file petition with the Church in accordance with Canon Law, article 212, paragraph 2 and 3.
On November 29th, 1987, two North Korean agents were arrested immediately after the explosion of Korean Air 858. One of two agents, Kim Hyun-hee confessed that she blasted the plane by the order of North Korea’s, Kim Jung-il; “Get rid of South Korean passengers’ plane,” and repented her crime. For 16 years since then, the solid evidences have substantiated her confession beyond a reasonable doubt. But the leaders of North Korea propagated the tragic incident as “Self-fabricated scenario of South Korea’s rogue military regime,” denying their perpetration of the bombing.
In November, 2003, some people of Roh Moo-hyun government’s circle and of broadcasting TV stations have wished for people to be doubtful whether Kim Hyun-hee was a real North Korean agent or not.
On November 3rd, 2003, the so-called Catholic Priests’ Association for Justice( CPAJ, itself, is an illegal organization which continuously violates Canon Law Articles of 300, 312 ) held a press conference and made public the assertion as follows:
- The Korean Air 858 accident was an event which took innocent and precious people’s lives.
- We are going to carry out a prophetic mission so that precious lives should never be victimized again by political conspiracies.
- We urge thorough investigation of the president and officials in charge of Agency for National Security Planning at that time who fabricated sham agent of North Korea, Kim Hyun-hee.
- The Korean Air 858 accident was performed exactly in line with various assassinations, terrors and fabrication incidents which ANSP and other institutions have made up to sustain the dictatorial government in crisis…….
This was the perpetration of benefiting the enemy, by means of their incitement with falsehood, who sympathized with the terror group. At the same time, they betrayed their duty of clerics to foster among people peace and harmony based on justice (Canon Law Article 287 paragraph 1). The CPAJ priests trampled upon the young woman witness who had been brought up as a human tool by North Korean leaders but had followed the life intended to atone for her crime worth of death penalty, with the real true testimony. At the same time, they injured and worsened her public estimation and plight, and violated her right to protect her privacy. (Canon Law Article 220, Article 1390 paragraph 2 and 3).
This was a very unusual evil deed as of cleric’s standing in the history of the Church.

They have since never said a word of apology, for 8 years and 10 months, even after the Fact-Finding Committee of Past History under Roh Administration confirmed Kim Hyun-hee as a genuine agent of North Korea.
They have unavoidably come to the stage where they hear an open advice from an editorial of Donga Daily “You, the CPAJ priests, who falsified the truth! Kneel on the ground before Kim Hyun-hee and ask her forgiveness!”.
Do they still hold on to the present situation and hope to be forgotten? Such self-righteousness and falsehood is completely against the spirit of Catholic Church, that is, humble mind and honesty. Their status of priesthood is respected because they vowed not to do worldly deeds. But they did worldly deeds and degraded themselves down to the level, where they pretend to be righteous even after they knew they did the act of benefitting the enemy and falsifying the truth.
Among the 162 priests, the priests who were identified within two years just after the ordination numbered 42 persons at the time of November 3rd, 2003. Who are the priests taking the lead for the newly ordained priests to do this evil deed? Otherwise, have they been educated at seminaries to be susceptible for such an evil deed as this?
It is possible that some of the priests’ names have been used without their knowledge. Or some may have been deceived and orally assented to list their names on the assertion. In such cases, however, they should have announced the fact of “their forged names” or “deception” during the hours of Mass for the People, at the least. Weekly bulletins of the Church are very well fitted to be used for the purpose. It is the priests’ pastoral responsibility to correct their abused names with priest’s status, without delay before everything else, if their names have been abused during the 8 years and 10 months. But no one among the 162 priests has been heard to have corrected such abuses. The status of the priest is no farcical one as to leave such an evil deed untreated, which were done under the name of Catholic priest and with the quotations of the Holy Scriptures.
His Eminence Nicholas Cardinal Cheong is known to have had concern about the priests’ derailments, and to have done right measures as well as appropriate remarks about them.
On December 10th, 2010, the CPAJ priests perpetrated disobeying Archbishop’s Magisterium, and denounced H.E. Nicholas Cardinal Cheong’s proper remarks on Public Works on Four Major Rivers as “sophistry” by the statement. On December 13th, that year, they held a press conference and called for the Cardinal to resign and committed a mutinous challenge which overturned canonical order (in violation of Canon Law Article 273, 1373, 1390).
From January 31st, 2011 to August 19th, 2012, the faithful, who made much of the Church and participated in the petition for these priests to stand before the Church Tribunal, numbered 9,325. Each petition paper was sent to Rome. A trial at the Church is different from one at a secular court and we do refrain from announcing the facts about the proceedings. We, trustees, would inform the faithful of the result and proceedings together when the trial ends.
The CPAJ priests have been continuing to perpetrate the illegal defiance against the Magisterium, by putting public on the internet portal site of CPAJ the very assertion under the title of “The Cardinal’s sophistry” of December 10th, 2010 and its English version, until today, for one year and 8 months.
The only way to return to the initial oath of the ordination (Canon Law Article 276, Article 285 paragraph 1, 2) is to break up the CPAJ by themselves, which has also committed acts of benefitting the enemy and fabrication of false history, ignored and denied the Canon Law. They also should apologize to the Church, Republic of Korea and the honest woman, and repent their worldly degradation up to now.
Please demand anyone of the derailed priests to make an apology, when you, the faithful, meet him. And also ask them to take good priests, who greatly outnumber CPAJ priests, as a model.
Anyone who taints priests with worldliness is one who hurts priests most.
